How it all began

It’s true. I’ve been in advertising since I was 4. My dad was the Trainello in Waterman & Trainello, a Madison Avenue shop that flourished in the golden age of advertising from the 60’s to the 80’s. From the moment I walked into his office I knew what I wanted to do with my life. As Creative Director, he was surrounded by pads of translucent drawing paper and rows and rows of colored drafting markers. The art director room was the most exciting place I’d ever seen–full of loud creative people, the smell of rubber cement and typography that came in transferable sheets.
It was magical.

My desire to work in that world never wavered, so after earning my BFA in Graphic Design, I went straight to NYC and began my life as a creative. That career has taken me to some of the best agencies in the world, won me over a dozen awards, and enabled me to work in categories from beverages to technology with brands as varied as Absolut Vodka and The Walt Disney Company.

And now, as a Creative Director, I take great pride in matching clear communication with beautiful design – resulting in happy, and successful, clients.
It’s still magical.
